How the Klaviyo survey integration works: Sync survey responses to customer profiles in Klaviyo in 4 steps

Combine the power of Klaviyo’s marketing automation platform and Delighted customer feedback surveys with this integration. Sync real-time data from Delighted surveys to Klaviyo customer profiles to centralize findings and act on feedback faster than ever.

1. Create your Delighted feedback survey

Set up your survey in minutes, not days: customize one of our many pre-built survey templates to suit your brand. Choose from Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), Customer Effort Score (CES), Thumbs surveys, and more using our customer experience solution. Measure customer sentiment with surveys following a purchase or customer support interaction.

2. Select a survey distribution method and collect feedback

Send surveys to customers with the right survey delivery method. Based on how your customers prefer to be surveyed, choose from email, mobile app, kiosk, link, embed, or web surveys to collect feedback. You can even use our Embed platform to create custom survey email templates directly in Klaviyo.

3. Sync Delighted survey responses to Klaviyo customer profiles

Once customers respond to your survey and the integration is activated, survey responses are synced to the matching customer record in Klaviyo based on the customer’s email address. If there isn’t a profile in Klaviyo for a particular customer, a new profile will be created with the response event.

When customers have responded to your Delighted survey and their response is in their Klaviyo customer profile, you can segment customers based on their response and customize the automated marketing messaging they receive.

4. Take action on feedback by triggering messaging flows

Take action on ecommerce survey feedback by triggering automated flows in Klaviyo based on Delighted survey responses. For positive customer feedback, encourage happy customers to purchase again, refer a friend, or leave a review of your brand. Go a step further and ask promoters to join your loyalty program for additional perks.

If you receive constructive or negative feedback from customers, you can remove those customers from automated flows with misaligned messaging and instead win them back by closing the loop on their issue or query before providing an incentive toward their next purchase.

If you already send emails through Klaviyo, why not embed a survey to your customers there? Your survey will have all of your Delighted customizations, and you’ll be able to leverage all of your Klaviyo marketing flows. Follow these steps to embed surveys into Klaviyo:

Request your survey HTML

Email us to request your Template’s HTML and let us know which Template (NPS, CSAT, CES, PMF, 5-star, Smiley face, or Thumbs surveys) you need the HTML for. Make sure that you’ve set up the Link platform – that’s how we make sure your survey’s HTML code has all of your customizations.

Add the HTML to your email platform

Add the survey HTML to your email template by pasting in the HTML we shared over. The respondent’s user experience will be the same as what’s available via Delighted’s email platform. Watch the video tutorial to learn exactly how it’s done.

Deanonymize feedback using properties

By default, your embedded surveys will be anonymous. However, you can append information like email address or purchase data by appending those details to the end of your survey links within the HTML. Learn more in the Help Center.
